Field communication

Group, private, and family chat

Three conversations in one app: tour-leader announcements in group chat, quieter messages in private chat, and family chat so those who get separated stay connected. Photos and updates no longer scatter across WhatsApp.

How it works

1 Step 1

Pilgrim joins the group

After QR claim / feature publish, the pilgrim enters the group context in the app.

Send messages & photos

3 Step 3

Staff stay in the ops flow

Communication stays close to location monitoring and SOS — not random chat without trip context.

What you get

One chat channel per group

Official announcements stay in one place — not lost across WhatsApp groups.

Messages and photos in the trip app

Important info is easier to find again in trip context.

Close to field monitoring

Communication stays linked to group data, location, and SOS.

Less reliance on scattered WhatsApp

In-app chat becomes the official channel without fully replacing WhatsApp.

Summary

Safar Nova group chat brings pilgrim messages and key updates into the journey app — alongside field monitoring where the plan includes it.

Questions about this feature

Does it fully replace WhatsApp?

Not required. In-app chat becomes the official group channel; agencies can still use WA outside the app.

Does it need internet?

Yes. Sending messages and photos needs connectivity.

How is it different from SOS?

Chat is normal communication. SOS is an emergency signal with status that lands in the dashboard inbox.
